Why do I wake up so early?



So for me the way I start my morning depends on how the rest of my day is going to plan out. I am pretty sure I wake up earlier than most of you. Why???? Because it brings me so much happiness being able to get up early and just get on with my day. Now there is a lot of CEO, Scientists and self made- millionaires that wake up before 6am. Apple CEO Tim Cook apparently wakes up at 3.45am ,Vogue editor Anna Wintour gets out of bed to play tennis at 5.45am, Richard Branson has said he rises at the same time, and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz reportedly gets up at 4.30am. The idea of this is so they get a head start to their day.

So for me there is so many reason I get up at 4am: I get more done and am so much more productive, happier, I have time to workout, there is so many benefits.

I get so many people say to me don't you get tired but no!!! That's because I have my magic powder( my fizz sticks) . You are probably thinking but what on earth do you do when you get up at 4am???
So I wake up at 4am and the first thing I will do is my miracle morning. I start off by doing my silence, so I will sit for about 5 minutes and just process my thoughts and what I am feeling, I will then right down some current thoughts and what I am feeling. I usually then get up and get dressed for the gym while listening to a motivational audio, I also listen to this on the way to the gym as I find it just gets me in the right head space. So I will go to the gym do what I need to do there then come back, now some days I jump on a call and continue with my miracle morning and we do it as a group but usually when I get back from the gym I will start with my meditation which usually lasts about 20 minutes. I then do my affirmations, followed by my visualization, my gratitude list I will then watch another two motivational videos and finish with my goal setting. Now yes they are all important however if the last step isn't done effectively it can really impact my day. I will write down three things I am going to achieve that day and I won't do anything else until they are done, so I focus on them first.

I have had people say to me that they don't get it, they think it's stupid that I choose to get up at that time. However that is their opinion and they are entitle to that but I really don't care. While you are sleeping I am working to achieve what I want. For me morning's are my favourite part of my day and if they are achieved correctly it really does effect my mood.

So ask yourself this....

If you were to wake up half an hour early tomorrow what would you achieve? Your life is in your hands so it's up to you to make that change.

  1. I ususlly wake up by 5am, however it's not consistent because my work schedule is all over the place. I do day and night shift and sometimes won go to bed until 8 am

  2. Getting up early is a wonderful habit which I am still trying to master. And you now have motivated me.
