10 ways to change your life today

Over the past few months I have being doing a lot of research and studying of how to actually make my life better and how to use what I already know to help others. I think for so long I have been trying to work out what I am wanting to write about on my blog posts. When I first started blogging I was writing a lot about fashion, beauty and confidence. Then it came to me, I finally figured out what I wanted to talk about and what I loved doing, and that is inspiring, motivating and encouraging others. So here it is... 10 ways to change your life. Now all of these 10 are things I have done recently that has put things into perspective for me so I really wanted to share them with you.

1. 5 Second rule.
I first heard about Mel Robbins through my business team and I kept seeing people talk about her and this 5 second rule, and you know when you hear about something and it sounds amazing but then you don't follow up with it and check it out? (Yes that was me.) It  wasn't until I had a training call about 5 weeks ago and the main subject was the 5 second rule. When my team first started discussing this I was like ahhh I know what this is!!! And it wasn't till the following day when my alarm went off and I had a late night so I really didn't want to get up at 5 and go to the gym. Then I remembered the 5 second rule. So in my head I counted down from 5 to 1 then got out of bed. I thought to myself oh ok that was much easier, so I then went to the gym and that day I was struggling, I was aching all over. It was getting to the end of the session and honestly I felt like just giving up, like I couldn't even do any more reps, and guess what sprung to mind?! The 5 second rule! I tried it again. Counting down from 5 to 1, I thought wow that was simple. I managed to get up out of bed and pushed through a gym session from counting down from 5 to 1? Seems simple doesn't it. After getting home from the gym I was just reflecting on the 5 second rule and then decided to actually Google Mel Robbins. The first video I watched of her I was like hell yes!!! She is passionate! For some time I had been putting off going live in my exclusive facebook group , so I did it again 5,4,3,2,1. Then went live.
So within a day I had already pushed through 3 things I wouldn't have done without the 5 second rule. This rule always works, it's backed by science and has helped changed the lifes of so many people, millions in fact. Now you might try this and it might not work for you. Mmmm.. well then the problem isn't the rule the problem is the fact you don't want to change. Just think about that. Mel Robbins said " The moment you have an instinct to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will stop.
5 ,4 ,3 ,2 ,1 . GO!!!"

2. Listen to audios/ Podcasts/ Inspirational videos.
Where would I be without these???
I seriously can't go a day without listen to Jay Shetty. If you follow me on instagram you will know my love for Jay! But he gives me alot of my inspiration and was the first person to make me realise I needed to change my habits. Just listening to a keynote speaker while you get ready in the morning is going to have a huge impact on your mood. I tend to listen to them whilst I am driving because it's just clearing your mind of anything bad and filling it with the right energy.

3. Write down your goals and achievements.
I can't believe I used to live my life without doing this. Erm... I would love to know how I ever coped. By writing down your goals it will help you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve and will stop you procrastinating. Another great thing to do is write down your achievements so a the end of the month or at the end of the year you can look back and see what you have achieved. It's amazing what we forget we achieved.
4.  Become an early riser.
There is a huge difference between knowing and living. You think you know it , but are you doing it?

Now I am not saying you have to wake up at 4am every morning in order to change your life. However for me it's meant I am able to be more productive in the morning. So why is it good to become an early riser? Well for a start off  you will have more energy  which will enable you to structure your day to the maximum of your potential,  it will lower your stress it will give you clarity quickly to overcome any challenge or limiting beliefs that you have been holding you back,  improve your overall health, increases productivity and enhances your ability to maintain focus. So it's safe to say their is a lot of benefits to becoming a early riser and unless you have tried it then you won't know whether it's for you or not.
5. Don't say 'why me' say ' why not me '

Being at rock bottom isn't a bad thing, it gives you the opportunity to build a life and create something for yourself and explore.

6. Find your passion.

7.Leave your comfort zone.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. It's never as scary as it looks, you can't go through life without testing your limiting beliefs. What is it that your not doing because of fear failure? Your mind can work for you or against you. You have control over how you think. However, you cannot leave it to chance. If you don’t pro-actively programme your mind to work for you then by default it will subconsciously start to work against you.
8. Find the meaning of your life.

9. Don't compare your life to others.
Now this is hard with social media, we automatically compare ourselves these instagram models we see and automaically think we should look like them. But we need to stop pretending and learning about becoming more of who we are and expressing our beliefs. You story is unique and different. it's not worthy of comparison.

10. Upgrade your habits
You need to stop wasting energy scrolling through social media for hours( especially  before you go to bed), stop  binge watching netflix.
Why are people addicted to phones?
When we see likes, kind comments or our followers going up we feel like that’s love.  We have a lot of relationships through our phones, I know for a fact most people will talk on text or social media rather than in person, regarding whether it’s family, friends, colleagues or relationships. We visualize our devices as the thing that holds our relationships together, it gives us the latest updates and we then feel lost without it because we rely on it so much. Don’t get me wrong phones are amazing! The things you can do on them now! Without phones I wouldn’t be running my business the way I do, but I know I can turn off my phone or put it on silent and leave it. I do this just before I go to sleep and won’t check it first thing in the morning because they are a distraction because you get so caught up on it and that’s where it leads to an addiction.

I hope by starting to change your daily rountine and incorprating these 10 habits into your lifestyle you will start to see a change.

Only you can change your life, no one can do it for you.
