Morning Motivation

It’s great waking up and the sun being out, what a great start to your day, however when it’s dull and miserable I know it might be hard to want to get out of bed in the morning but you have got to want to, you need that motivation. Getting out of bed in the morning shouldn't be a chore you should feel excited for the day ahead of you! Here are some ways that help me stay motivated in the morning.






Plan and make lists
For me it’s so important I plan everyday of the week in my planner just so I can stay on top of things, I also will plan my food for the week which makes me stay healthy and I don’t need to stress over what I am going to have for dinner.By doing this I can see what food I need to buy for that week and work around meal preparing and cooking. If there are certain goals I want to achieve whether they are short or long term I will write them in my planner , visualizing your goals definitely help you achieve them.



Me time
This is SO important. As humans sometimes we are so caught up on everything else we forget about giving ourselves time. Self-care is essential for happiness. But most of us don't take the time to think about what self-care actually means. In the morning it’s important to me that I give myself time to do my skin care, steam my face or even just read my book for 10 minutes. It depends on what type of person you are and what ritual works for you. For some if could be cooking a nice meal for yourself, going for a run, treating yourself to a spa treatment, whatever it is as long as it makes you feel relax that's all that matters.

Be positive
When I wake up in the morning I love feeling positive and inspired. In my room I have quote cards which I tend to swap over weekly which just helps me in the morning, it’s just a reminder that you can do this.It’s about feeling happiness , realising how beautiful life actually is. Be grateful for just waking up in the morning , find your own way to be happy. You are in charge of your own happiness, start taking control of your life. Create the life you want. Everyday won’t always be good, I understand that but find that little something that made your day good, there is always that one thing no matter how small. 




Meditation
Meditation keeps me sane! There is so many reasons to meditate- for me meditating in the morning just puts me in the right head space for the rest of the day, it releases any tension I have or stress and just helps me think positive thoughts. I also do it before I go to bed because I find it sends me straight off to sleep. With meditation the goal isn't to control your thoughts, it’s to stop letting them control you and for you to realise you must lead your life. When everything is still your mind will find the answer , it will relax, let it seek peace and go to your happy place.


Sleeping
I love getting up early in the morning and making the most of my days. I can imagine some of you aren't morning people, but there are always ways to change your lifestyle. By going to bed early and getting up early I just feel so productive. I will make sure I set my alarm so I don’t waste any of my day, I don’t tend to lie in sometimes I might give myself an extra hour but for me I don't like to waste valuable time  and I like to make the most of my days, that’s why I like to go to bed early.



Getting dressed
As soon as I wake up in the morning I will shower or whatever I need to to and then get dressed, I hate staying in my pyjamas. It makes me feel lazy, and by staying in your pyjamas it won’t help you feel motivated or determined for whatever you have planned that day. If I get ready I tend to put all my jewellery on, do my hair and makeup as soon as I can. Don’t get me wrong I do have them no makeup days( don’t we all) or some days I might stay in my fitness gear all day depends on my plans but just being dressed getting ready starts your day off the right way.


Active
This definitely makes my mornings. There is nothing better than getting up early and going for a run and the sun being out, I mean come on! What a start to your day
get moving in the morning, I love starting the day by going for a run it just makes me feel positive and happy for the rest of the day.
