Learning to love yourself

Loving yourself....

"You don't find your worth in a man. You find your worth within yourself and then find a man who's worthy of you. Remember that" I just really like this saying; as woman we need to be able to love ourselves before anyone can love us- not just men. More people need to realise that they don't need anyone to make them happy- it's all about being happy and falling in love with yourself. Self love is so important,  you owe yourself the love that you so freely give to others. Be your own best friend, allow yourself to have a treat once in a while, buy the shoes, get pampered and stop worrying about what others think.

We spend so much time worrying on people's opinions of us, but why??? They don't matter, surely as long as we are happy with our own life , who cares. People will always try to find faults in your life but what they really need to focus on fixing their own faults. I know you might think it's easy said but done , but when you stop caring what others think it will be the best choice you will ever make. If you really have a clear understanding of who you are, then stop apologising to others for their misunderstanding of who you are.

Everyone rewards themselves in different ways, whether it's a new handbag, going for dinner, going out with friends. We all do different things. Why do we feel the need to reward ourselves though? For some people it could be after a long day at work, you have just completed your monthly goal, you have stuck to your gym routine. I don't see the problem with giving yourself a little something extra if you have worked hard for it! I feel so good when I have achieved something , that's why I always write down my monthly goals which I then review at the end of the month to see whether I have achieved them or not . It feels so good knowing you have achieved something that you have personally set yourself.

Know your worth. Understand it's not okay to get mistreated, never accept anything less than you deserve. For me going through heart break and falling out with friends that I thought were always going to be there for me,  made me realise how I should be treated and I won't settle for anything less. But none of us should! It might take you a while to realise your worth and that's okay! Walking away from people and situations that threaten your happiness shows maturity. Don't let others decide who you are, that's your decision and you own it! Don't trade your authenticity for approval. Remember, you teach people how to treat you.
